Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, On Call, Morning
Work setting: Rural area
Supervision: More than 20 people
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in environments where they may be exposed to various odours
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, paying attention to detail in their work and being prepared for physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when necessary to meet project deadlines and ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be organized team players, capable of coordinating tasks efficiently and collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop specific plans to prioritize tasks and implement soil fertility programs, including mixing fertilizer appropriately and overseeing activities such as clearing fields and conducting weeding operations efficiently
- The candidates should be able to coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers, ensuring farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, and maintaining quality control and production records
- The candidates should be able to supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations, maintain work records and logs accurately, and hire and train staff effectively
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment proficiently, applying hoeing techniques between rows and clearing fields of wood and stones efficiently
