Salary: $30.00 to $50.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time

Shifts: 08:00 to 16:30
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Various locations and In shop

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a Registered Apprenticeship certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Powered equipment repair specialization:
Hydraulic-operated working attachments and Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts
Diesel engine repair specialization: Fuel injection system, Exhaust system, Cooling system, Air conditioning system, Lubrication system, Engine control system, Major internal engine repairs or overhaul and Installation and alignment of engines and machinery
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles and Gloves
Credentials: Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable with dusty environments and capable of working in noisy conditions
  • The candidates should be physically fit, given the demanding nature of the job, possess a strong attention to detail, and be adept at bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • The candidates should have good hand-eye coordination, be experienced in handling heavy loads, be able to stand for extended periods, and capable of lifting more than 45 kg (100 lbs)

  • The candidates should be known for their accurate work and attention to detail
  • The candidates should be individuals with a strong sense of dependability, reliable in fulfilling their responsibilities
  • The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others and appreciate and understand the benefits offered by the position

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to instruct apprentices and troubleshoot/inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • The candidates should be able to diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment, order parts, and maintain inventory
  • The candidates should be able to adjust equipment, repair or replace defective parts, and keep maintenance reports/documentation
  • The candidates should be able to test repaired equipment for proper performance, ensuring work meets manufacturers’ specifications, and attach components while adjusting new farm equipment
  • The candidates should be able to clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work, including repair work on heavy trucks, verifying and repairing emission control systems, and conducting other routine maintenance
