Salary: $28.00 to $42.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Shifts: 07:30 to 16:30
Transportation information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence, and Public transportation is not available
Work setting: In shop
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Type of materials: Steel, iron and heavy metals
Welding techniques: Resistance, spot or seam, Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Flux core arc welding (FCAW), Plasma arc welding (PAW), Tubular, Spool, Multipass, and Keyhole
Area of specialization: Structural construction and Factory assembly
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, Butt or seam resistance welding machine, Gas welding machine, Spot welding machine
Own tools/equipment: Welding helmet
Credentials: Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of efficiently handling repetitive tasks
- The candidates should possess manual dexterity for the required tasks
- The candidates should possess a high level of attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to lift weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be team players, contributing positively to collaborative efforts
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality in their work
- The candidates should be hardworking and dedicated to their responsibilities
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- The candidates should be able to use computer-aided design (CAD)
- The candidates should be able to operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
- The candidates should be able to fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal
- The candidates should be able to operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
- The candidates should be able to determine the weldability of materials
- The candidates should be able to operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- The candidates should be able to operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
