Halifax Citadel Society based in Halifax, NS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Kiosk sales clerk. Halifax Citadel Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site. We are committed to educating visitors about the Citadel’s rich history and heritage. We work alongside other volunteers and staff members to maintain the site, develop educational programs, and organize special events throughout the year. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Shifts: Day, Weekend
Work setting: Kiosk, War/military museum, Information centre
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Bilingual Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be client focus, adaptable and reliable
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate cash register
- The candidates should be able to maintain sales records for inventory control
- The candidates should be able to provide sightseeing information
- The candidates should be able to provide basic tourist information
- The candidates should be able to provide customer service
