Job Description:

Position: Live-in housekeeper
No of Vacancies: 1
Salary: $20.00 hourly for 5 to 70 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: O’Leary, PE
Shifts: On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined
Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer and Valid driver’s licence

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, driver’s validity licence check, driving record check (abstract), and reference required

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be able to work independently, manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

The candidates should have a client focus, be dependable, and have excellent oral communication skills
The candidates should be flexible, demonstrate initiative, and have good judgement
The candidates should be reliable, have patience, and be honest

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
The candidates should be able to make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, and clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
The candidates should be able to pick up debris and empty trash containers, launder clothing and household linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
The candidates should be able to shop for food and household supplies
