Salary: $19.00 hourly for 30 to 32 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Hamilton, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Morning
Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer
Work setting: Employer’s home, own home, optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, staff accommodation available, work in employer’s/client’s home, room and board provided. Relocation costs not covered by employer
Target audience: Children

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Bondable, child welfare check, criminal record check, and medical exam

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks and have attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a focus on clients and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility, show initiative, and exercise good judgment
  • The candidates should be organized, reliable, and have good time management skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate patience and honesty

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to change diapers and follow parents’ lead with toilet training
  • The candidates should be able to sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
  • The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and household linens
  • The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, feed infants and children, and discipline them according to the methods requested by the parents
  • The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene, social development, and keep records of daily activities and health information
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment, organize activities, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • The candidates should be able to supervise, care for children, tend to their emotional well-being, and cook
