Salary: $21.10 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Calmar, AB
Shifts: Day, Weekend, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Staff accommodation available and rural area
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be providedÂ
Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck, haying equipment, and tractor
Automated systems experience: Automated environmental control equipment, manure handling and storage, and feeding and watering system
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and gloves
Security and safety: Criminal record check and medical exam
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots
- The candidates should be comfortable working in confined spaces and able to work in noisy environments
- The candidates should be tolerant of odors and able to work in hot conditions
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and handle heavy loads, being prepared for physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should demonstrate effective hand-eye coordination and be comfortable with walking as part of their duties
- The candidates should be able to manage a large workload

- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and exhibit flexibility in their approach
- The candidates should exercise good judgment, be team players, and be known for their reliability
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to participate in calving activities, engage in cattle training, and manage feed inventory
- The candidates should be able to handle animals, monitor animal health, and supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
