Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of High School
Experience: Candidates should have 1+ years experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to lead teams, including leading meetings and projects

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should hold a valid Refrigeration, Electrician, Plumbing, or any relevant licenses issued by the province
  • The candidates should demonstrate leadership skills and provide peer-to-peer tech support
  • The candidates should have experience in project management and handling stretch assignments
  • The candidates should take ownership of facility location responsibilities and possess effective communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to respond to work orders for a wide variety of in-store equipment, including minor repairs of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, hot beverage equipment coffee, cappuccino machines, cold beverage equipment tea, fountain machines ice makers, hot food equipment fryers, griddles, ovens and fuel dispensers
  • The candidates should be able to respond to work orders related to plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues
  • The candidates should be able to perform Tech II duties with at least 50% proficiency, which includes more complex repairs and maintenance tasks compared to Tech I responsibilities
  • The candidates should be able to replace ‘plug and play’ equipment as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to store operations
  • The candidates should be able to diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs using appropriate tools and techniques
  • The candidates should be able to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment
  • The candidates should be able to document work performed, including parts used and repairs completed, accurately and promptly
  • The candidates should be able to communicate effectively with store management and other team members regarding maintenance issues and repairs
  • The candidates should be able to maintain inventory of parts and equipment necessary for repairs and replacements, ensuring availability
  • The candidates should be able to prioritize work orders based on urgency and impact on store operations, demonstrating efficient time management skills
