Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of post-secondary education
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in various program roles

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to work independently with sound judgment and understanding of when to seek direction
  • The candidates should have the ability to analyze complex problems, interpret business needs, and develop integrated creative solutions, as well as the ability to develop accurate and detailed reports
  • The candidates should be able to work in a hybrid environment, with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time (2 days of the week)
  • The candidates should be available to work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day
  • The candidates should be prepared to travel to alternate Canadian Blood Services offices or site locations, including the head office in Ottawa at 1800 Alta Vista Drive, for biannual in-person team meetings

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have preferably a university degree or college diploma in a related field. Health professionals with transfusion medicine experience, such as Medical Laboratory Technologists or Registered Nurses, are preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • The candidates should have demonstrated understanding, experience, or educational background in quality management
  • The candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute effectively in a team environment and advanced verbal and written communication skills in English

  • The candidates should be able to leverage strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate and integrate program activities, ensuring seamless execution of assigned work streams
  • The candidates should be able to utilize analytical abilities and strategic thinking to identify program requirements and develop effective strategies to address key priorities
  • The candidates should be able to apply expertise in performance monitoring to track program progress, ensuring goals are met, targets are achieved, and guidelines are followed
  • The candidates should be able to leverage strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders, address emerging challenges, and provide timely progress updates
  • The candidates should be able to apply process improvement expertise to promote standardized workflows and identify opportunities to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness
  • The candidates should be able to utilize data analysis and reporting skills to synthesize program data, monitor performance metrics, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders
