- The candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience, OR an undergraduate diploma from the National Bank University Program and 8 years of relevant experience and experience in commercial credit
- The candidates should have negotiation experience and experience analyzing financial statements and experience in financial statement analysis
- The candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to effectively collaborate with partners and form well-reasoned recommendations
- The candidates should have experience in commercial finance, experience in commercial lending and possess strong communication skills
- The candidates should value diversity and inclusion, drive results, exhibit emotional intelligence, demonstrate empathy, should display humility, show initiative, learning agility, resiliency and skilled in risk analysis
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform high-quality credit analyses in accordance with the standards established by the Credit Centre, and make recommendations
- The candidates should be able to structure credit applications (board sheet structuring) by mitigating risks and developing financing scenarios that meet client needs and match the Bank’s risk criteria
- The candidates should be able to participate in determining client financing needs in collaboration with the Commercial Account Manager
- The candidates should be able to negotiate credit terms and conditions with Credit Risk Management as needed, and confirm the availability of financing for the Commercial Account Manager
- The candidates should be able to obtain comments from Account Managers on preliminary versions of credit applications, adjust them as needed, and present them to the RVP before forwarding to Credit Risk Management to ensure they meet the Bank’s requirements for overall client profitability
- The candidates should be able to produce documents and update client files in collaboration with account representatives and Credit Risk Management to ensure credit applications are processed efficiently
- The candidates should be able to act as a resource person for their team in handling credit matters and assist, as needed, in addressing team members’ skills development in this area and identify the risks inherent to sector activities
