Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a B.SC with current certification of Competence from the Ontario College of Nurses
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 5 years’ experience post-graduation in a variety of hospital or health care settings

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of working independently and making decisions based on sound judgment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have knowledge of operational management and leadership concepts, including program or service delivery models, policy development, planning, budgeting, performance measurement management, and human resources
  • The candidates should have knowledge of primary care nursing, delivery, assessment, and evaluation methodologies, processes, and practices and relevant governing legislation, collective agreements, policies, and procedures
  • The candidates should have knowledge of office productivity software and databases, internet browsers and search engines, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices
  • The candidates should have experience and knowledge with the application of applied research and evidence-based care into a clinical setting focusing on implementation and evaluation
  • The candidates should be able to respond to unpredictable events, such as medical emergencies, mental health crises, student suicidal behavior, and staffing changes and
  • office as well as the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions and cultural competency and diversity
  • The candidates should have annual CPR and AED certification and annual CNO License registration
  • The candidates should have one year of leadership and managerial experience in managing staff

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to manage the health clinic operations in consultation with the Director and the Lead Physician
  • The candidates should be able to focus on operations and people management in the health clinic
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that all team members are following clinic policies and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the use of evidence-based best practices in the clinic
  • The candidates should be able to ensure adequate flow and efficiency of the clinic and develop policies and procedures for the clinic
