Salary: $17.00 to $19.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 44 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle, QC
Shifts: Day, Weekend
Transportation information: Own transportation, and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Staff accommodation available

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Vegetables, Bell peppers, Cabbage, Cauliflowers, Cucumbers, Garlic, Melons, Onions, Tomatoes, and Sugar beets
Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck, Tractor
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be experienced in fruit and vegetable combination farming
• The candidates should be willing to work outdoors
• The candidates should be comfortable working in hot conditions
• The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks
• The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
• The candidates should be comfortable walking for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel
• The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should exercise good judgment
• The candidates should be a team player
• The candidates should be reliable

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
