Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have secondary school and three years’ post-secondary education in business, or equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have five years of recent work in an administrative capacity in a medical office

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have direct experience with scheduling, intake coordination, billing, and related supervision experience, preferably in a health care setting
  • The candidates should possess expert knowledge of EMR systems with demonstrated trainer experience and the skill and knowledge to interact effectively with patients and medical team members
  • The candidates should demonstrate organizational and supervisory skills, along with expert knowledge in medical billing practices and policies, and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • The candidates should exhibit a high degree of tact and discretion to deal effectively with people, particularly those who are unwell, and resourcefulness to administer medical office policies and procedures
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and possess strong analytical skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to participate in the administration of medical office operations on a day-to-day basis in collaboration with the Management Team and the Senior Physician
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that all team members adhere to prescribed policies and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to support the administrative team on issues and policies
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate appointment scheduling, handle inquiries and complaints, and provide support for the billing office according to HCS, University policies, and Ministry of Health regulations
  • The candidates should be able to organize, input, and maintain work schedules for medical providers and input counseling schedules into the EMR program
  • The candidates should be able to provide training for the Electronic Medical Record program to administrative staff
  • The candidates should be able to provide day-to-day navigational support to all staff on an ad hoc basis
  • The candidates should be able to troubleshoot IT problems and coordinate calls to IT Services and EMR service providers
