Salary: $25.00 to $35.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Delta, BC & Surrey, BC
Shifts: Day, 06:00 to 16:30
Transportation information: Own transportation, own vehicle, valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Machinery installation, various locations, maintenance, service, repair, overhaul, machine set-up
Apprenticeship training: level one apprenticeship training, level two apprenticeship training, level three apprenticeship training, level four apprenticeship training
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Start-up and testing, shutdown operations, welding
Equipment and machinery experience: Power tools, tool grinders, welding equipment, forklift, hand tools
Own tools/equipment: Tools, steel-toed safety boots, hard hat
Credentials: Forklift Operator Certification, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling physically demanding tasks, have attention to detail, and be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling. Overtime may be required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to repair or replace defective machinery parts, fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery
- The candidates should be able to operate machining tools to fabricate parts and install machinery and equipment
