Job Description:

Salary: $15.25 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Montréal, QC
Shifts: Evening, Morning
Transportation information: Public transportation is available, Travel expenses paid by employer
Work setting: Employer’s home, Work in employer’s/client’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 year to less than 2 years
Credentials: First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Drug test, Medical exam, Reference required

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be non-smoking and willing to work overtime when required
The candidates should have attention to detail and be able to handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and have excellent oral communication
The candidates should be flexible, reliable, show initiative, and be organized

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
The candidates should be able to wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, discipline children according to parental methods, and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment, organize activities for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and supervise and care for children while tending to their emotional well-being
