Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Employer’s home, optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (note: this is NOT a condition of employment), urban area, and work in employer’s/client’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Child welfare check, criminal record check, drug test, medical exam, reference required, vulnerable sector check, and basic security clearance
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should not smoke and should be scent-free
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and be prepared for physically demanding tasks, while also being able to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required and work effectively under pressure, demonstrating attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to handle repetitive tasks efficiently and work effectively under pressure, while also being willing to work overtime as required

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, ensuring the smooth functioning of daily activities, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a tidy and organized home environment
- The candidates should be able to shop for food and household supplies, ensuring that essential items are stocked, and travel with the family on trips, assisting with child supervision and housekeeping duties as required
- The candidates should be able to wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens to maintain cleanliness and neatness, and bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, attending to their basic needs with care and attention
- The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, ensuring appropriate behavior, and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, fostering their growth and development
- The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintaining organized documentation, and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, identifying and addressing potential hazards
- The candidates should be able to organize activities such as games and outings for children, promoting their physical and social development, and prepare and serve nutritious meals for children, catering to their dietary needs and preferences
- The candidates should be able to prepare infants and children for rest periods, ensuring they have a comfortable and peaceful sleep environment, and sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and change diapers for infants, attending to their specific care requirements
- The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children, providing attentive and nurturing support, and take children to and from school and to appointments, ensuring they arrive safely and punctually
- The candidates should be able to tend to the emotional well-being of children, offering comfort and support as needed
