Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children, Children, School age (6 – 12 years)

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Experience with special needs children: Autistic children, Children with an intellectual disability, Children with Down syndrome, Children with asthma, Children with learning disabilities
Security and safety: Child welfare check, Criminal record check, Drug test, Reference required

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work overtime when required, perform physically demanding tasks, and perform repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be able to work under pressure and lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills, be flexible, and show initiative
• The candidate should exercise sound judgment, stay organized, and be reliable
• The candidate should be a team player and demonstrate patience

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to change diapers, follow parents’ lead with toilet training, and assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
• The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, and care for pets
• The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
• The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, prepare infants and children for rest periods, and supervise and care for children
• The candidates should be able to take children to and from school and to appointments, tend to the emotional well-being of children, and help children with homework
