Work setting: Employer’s home, optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (note: this is not a condition of employment), staff accommodation available, staff accommodation provided, work in employer’s/client’s home, room and board provided, and willing to relocate

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or Tagalog Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and shop for food and household supplies
The candidates should be able to travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, and wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens
The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, prepare infants and children for rest periods, and supervise and care for children
The candidates should be able to take children to and from school and to appointments, tend to the emotional well-being of children, and help children with homework
The candidates should be able to cook and perform general labouring duties
