Salary: $22.00 hourly for 84 to 85 hours per week

Shifts: Shift, Overtime, On Call
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Remote location, Oil and gas industry, Staff accommodation provided, and Various locations

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided 
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Electronic general safety orientation (EGSO), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate, Industrial First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam, Drug test, and Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working in noisy environments and able to work in hot conditions
• The candidates should be able to work in cold or refrigerated environments and capable of working at heights
• The candidates should be comfortable working in confined spaces and willing to work outdoors when necessary
• The candidates should be able to handle repetitive tasks efficiently and be capable of handling heavy loads
• The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks and have a strong attention to detail
• The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking and be willing to work overtime when required

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate initiative in their work approach and be effective team players

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to operate electronic or computerized control panels from a central control room and participate in the training of other workers
• The candidates should be able to monitor and optimize physical and chemical processes for several processing units and control process start-up, shut-down, and troubleshooting
• The candidates should be able to participate in safety audits and programs, monitor outside process equipment, and adjust equipment, valves, pumps, and controls and process equipment
• The candidates should be able to develop operator procedures for normal operation, start-up, or shut-down, rotate between different processing units during shift cycles, and work in a team with shared supervisory responsibilities
• The candidates should be able to ensure adherence to safety regulations and manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at the rig floor during drilling and during the removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems, and drill bits
• The candidates should be able to clean up rig areas, assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment, and assist other workers in maintaining drilling equipment on the drill floor
