Salary: $17.40 hourly for 30 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Part time
Location: Osoyoos, BC
Shifts: Overtime, Flexible Hours
Type of crops: Apples, Bell Peppers, Cherries, Cucumbers, Melons, Orchard Fruit, Tomatoes, Zucchinis, and Vegetables
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks and demonstrate manual dexterity and have good hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to distinguish between colours and pay attention to detail and stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle a large workload and work overtime and work in a combination of sitting, standing, walking
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be flexible, reliable, and demonstrate strong values and ethics
- The candidate should be a quick learner and adapt to new challenges
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to weed and clean work area and harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry and operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to bud trees
