Pet Connection Sidney based in Sidney, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Pet store salesperson. Pet Connection Sidney founded in 2008, has been paving the way to help educate Canadian pet guardians on more natural health solutions for their pets. Our main motive is to save innocent pet animals from any type of harm. We are known to provide satisfactory services to our customers, that they don’t have to go to any one else after getting best services from us. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Job Description:

Salary: $20.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: 2443 Beacon Avenue, Sidney, BC, V8L 1X7
Shifts: Day, Weekend, 10:00 to 17:00
Work Setting: Specialty shop and on-site customer service
Security and Safety: Bond needed
Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need experience of 1 year to less than 2 years
Type of Product: Food and food products, magazine, nutrition and health products and animal food

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able for bending, crouching, kneeling
  • The candidate should be physically strong
  • The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to operate cash register
  • The candidate should be able to provide advice about merchandise
  • The candidate should be able to conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce
  • The candidate should be able to greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental or lease
  • The candidate should be able to maintain sales records for inventory control
  • The candidate should be able to prepare merchandise for purchase, rental or lease
  • The candidate should be able to prepare sales, rental or leasing contracts and accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payment
