Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 1 to 2+ years of experience working in a sales-driven environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be detail-oriented and proficiency with computers and trade experience
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills and excellent communication and customer service skills
- The candidates should have previous experience closing a sale and meeting or exceeding sales targets
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to ask open-ended questions about customers’ projects to determine their needs and level of expertise
- The candidates should be able to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment and pick, organize, and verify orders for delivery or pick-up
- The candidates should be able to describe features and benefits of merchandise to customers
- The candidates should be able to explain the steps needed to complete projects and the products and comfortable lifting merchandise to organize for customer pick-up
- The candidates should be able to maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure they are clean and safe
- The candidates should be able to perform heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods and be comfortable using ladders
- The candidates should be able to utilize computer terminals and Home Depot portable phones to check inventory, look up orders, and notify customers when products are ready for pick-up
