Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of experience leading production teams during Festivals and Live Events

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should display the ability to produce high-quality work quickly under pressure
  • The candidates should be capable of lifting supplies and equipment such as lighting fixtures, staging decks, truss, motors, and other production equipment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have advanced operational knowledge in at least one typical Production Systems (Digico, MA, ETC and Tricaster
  • The candidates should have experience with setup and operation of production equipment and systems
  • The candidates should demonstrate an understanding of signal flow and troubleshooting
  • The candidates should also have an understanding of the characteristics of different lighting, audio, or video protocols and how they function
  • The candidates should have a working knowledge of standard computer and industry software such as MS Office, QLab, Capture and Workbench

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to review Festival and Event paperwork and develop an operational plan for the day, ensuring all logistical aspects are organized and executed effectively
  • The candidates should be able to oversee and assist with the setup of Production Systems, including lighting, audio, video, cameras, staging and rigging and provide programming according to the event requirements
  • The candidates should be able to work closely with clients and artists to ensure all production requirements are met and all City Policies and procedures are followed, maintaining clear communication and professional relationships
  • The candidates should be able to create and maintain paperwork required to operate festivals or events, including plots, input lists and cue lists ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and up-to-date
  • The candidates should be able to provide system troubleshooting and onsite repairs when required, demonstrating technical expertise and problem-solving skills to address any issues that arise during the event
  • The candidates should be able to lead production crews in setups, operation, and changeovers, providing clear direction and support to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • The candidates should be able to follow best practices and ensure the safety of staff, venue, and equipment at all times, prioritizing safety protocols and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to provide guidance to other staff members, helping to develop and enhance their skills through training and mentorship
  • The candidates should be able to perform onsite equipment maintenance to ensure equipment stays in a state of good repair, conducting regular inspections and upkeep to prevent issues and prolong equipment lifespan
