Haldimand-Norfolk Housing Corporation based in Simcoe, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Property administrator. Haldimand-Norfolk Housing Corporation is a government agency dedicated to providing affordable and safe housing solutions for the residents of Haldimand and Norfolk counties. As a housing corporation, our primary objective is to address the housing needs of low to moderate-income individuals and families in the region. Through various housing programs and initiatives, we aim to create a positive impact on the community by fostering stable and sustainable living environments. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $21.94 hourly for 35 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 25 Kent Street North suite 2 Simcoe, ON N3Y 3S1
Transportation information: Valid driver’s license, Own vehicle, Public transportation is not available
Work setting: Property management companies, Relocation costs not covered by employer

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Apartments, Public housing, Low-rises (less than 8 stories)
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, Yardi system, MS Windows
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to work under tight deadlines

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be client focus, dependable, and organized
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to co-ordinate the implementation of repairs, maintenance, and renovation
  • The candidates should be able to ensure a prompt response to trouble calls from clients or tenants
