Salary: $47.00 hourly for 32 to 40 hours per week

Supervision: 1 to 2 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: CPR Certificate and Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have strong attention to detail and be accurate in their work
  • The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed, and be physically capable of handling demanding tasks
  • The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to sit for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should maintain a strong client focus, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their work and show initiative in their tasks
  • The candidates should exercise good judgment in various situations, be organized, reliable, and a team player
  • The candidates should have strong time management skills

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments, monitor patients and advise the physician of any changes in patients’ condition
  • The candidates should be able to address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions, assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, co-ordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families
  • The candidates should be able to deliver immunization programs, dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
  • The candidates should be able to engage in research activities related to nursing, operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
  • The candidates should be able to provide nursing care, supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff, and perform administrative tasks
