It is the institute known for its administrative team that supports all three facilities and manages clinical, operational, financial and planning services. As of now, St. Joseph’s Villa of Sudbury is inviting applications for the role of Registered Practical Nurse (R.P.N) from any of the eligible candidates.

Salary: $24.59 to $27.54 hourly, for 75 hours bi-weekly, as per collective agreement

Requirements:
Languages: English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset.
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): CPR Certificate, Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination

Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
- The candidate should be able to administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects
- The candidate should be able to take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitor nutritional intake and conduct specimen collection
- The candidate should be able to provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
- The candidate should be able to monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
