Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic cash register, Interact machine, price scanner, and computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering system.
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be capable of working under pressure
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and be physically fit to meet demanding tasks
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be comfortable standing for extended periods
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate and possess excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility and be willing to collaborate, being a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a cash register, process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and scan items
- The candidates should be able to tabulate the total payment for goods or services required, receive payment for goods or services, and calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales
- The candidates should be able to engage in suggestive selling, stock shelves, and clean the counter area
- The candidates should be able to greet customers, accept reservations or take-out orders, and wrap or place merchandise in bags
- The candidates should be able to provide customer service, calculate foreign currency exchange, and monitor all entrances and exits, requesting proof of payment when necessary
- The candidates should be able to participate in promotional activities
