Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a high school diploma, GED, or International equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to quickly and properly lift, lower, push, pull, leverage, and manipulate packages that weigh up to 70 lbs
- The candidates should be able to assist in moving packages weighing up to 150 pounds
- The candidates should be able to perform tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reach associated with the use of data scanning devices, measuring tape, and other equipment
- The candidates should be able to work at elevated heights, in enclosed spaces, and on uneven walk surfaces
- The candidates should be able to work in an environment with variable temperatures and humidity, exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, and noise
- The candidates should be able to bend, stoop, crouch, squat, climb, stand, walk, turn, and pivot intermittently during the workday (3-5 hours per day, 5 days per week)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess effective verbal/written communication, problem-solving, research, and time-management skills
- The candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) (preferred)
- The candidates should exhibit accurate and rapid data entry
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform package audits through the use of DWS Machines and Global Scanning System (GSS), including additional handling audits
- The candidates should be able to weigh packages at DIM weight scanners for accurate weight readings
- The candidates should be able to ensure that scanners are functioning properly and packages are in position to have labels read by the scanner
- The candidates should be able to maintain Production Standards and meet daily performance goals
- The candidates should be able to ensure that UPS Safety Habits are maintained and followed at all times
- The candidates should be able to work cooperatively in a diverse work environment
- The candidates should have the ability to work additional hours and/or overtime depending on service needs
- The candidates should be able to coordinate and prepare information for internal use and distribution
