Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and meet tight deadlines, be able to have good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • The candidates should be able to be skilled in handling heavy loads, performing physically demanding tasks, and working overtime as required, be able to handle repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to operate the cash register and supervise staff (apprentices, stagehands, design team, etc.), be able to teach interest or professional development courses and exhibit designers plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces, and other exhibitions
  • The candidates should be able to operate computerized inventory record-keeping and re-ordering systems and provide advice about merchandise, be able to advertise and/or promote products, sales, or services and perform data entry
  • The candidates should be able to provide customer service and train staff, be able to assist in the display of merchandise and conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce
  • The candidates should be able to estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates and greet customers to discuss type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental, or lease
  • The candidates should be able to maintain sales records for inventory control and prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease, be able to design settings, scenic environments, costumes, and lighting
