Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be experienced in working in a critical Security Operations Center (SOC) or Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) environment, and preference will be given to those with such experience
  • The candidates should possess experience in and strong knowledge of security, IT operations, risk governance, and compliance
  • The candidates should have experience with Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Proxy Servers, and Log Aggregation Technology to conduct analysis for evidence of network penetrations and data theft
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical business partners and influence/persuade a different point of view
  • The candidates should have the ability to communicate written and verbal recommendations clearly and confidently, articulating risks and trade-offs
  • The candidates should possess excellent relationship management, consulting, and problem-solving skills
  • The candidates should exhibit exceptional time management and self-management skills
  • The candidates should havem   industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CEH, ECIH, CCSE, CCSP would be considered an asset

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to support the bank by adhering to and enforcing the bank standards and policies for Cyber Security through daily operations and project initiatives
  • The candidates should be able to execute the Canadian Tire Corporation’s Incident Management process in the role of a Senior Incident Analyst
  • The candidates should be able to operate and drive incident response processes & documentation improvements across the domain, including event analysis, incident handling, malware analysis, and forensics
  • The candidates should be able to perform investigations, data acquisition, root cause analysis, and execute response activities on potentially major incidents
  • The candidates should be able to act as a Subject Matter Expert by developing and maturing tools & processes to support incident investigations, harvesting, and analysis
  • The candidates should be able to perform proactive research to identify and characterize new emerging technologies trends, security methods, and threats based on relevant organizational context
  • The candidates should be able to mentor team members, imparting motivation, inspiration, and confidence
  • The candidates should be able to plan and test cybersecurity-related tabletop exercises and participate in disaster recovery exercises
