Salary: $15.65 to $18.00 hourly for 8 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Part time leading to full time, Permanent employment
Location: Prince Rupert, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend and On Call

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates need experience of 1 year to less than 2 years
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Serving It Safe program certification
Computer and technology knowledge: Candidates must have knowledge of Point of sale system

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work under pressure, in fast-paced environment and also stand for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client, in a flexible environment, in an organized way and also take initiative
  • The candidate should be reliable and also a team player
  • The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills and also an excellent oral communication

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to describe menu items including daily specials for customers, enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, advise on menu selections, clear and clean tables, trays and chairs and also describe and advise on wine selection
  • The candidate should be able to greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages, serve food and beverages, take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff and also assist clients/guests with special needs
  • The candidate should be able to prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables and also present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
  • The candidate should be able to must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages, address customers’ complaints or concerns and also provide customer service
