Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have related social services Diploma and/or combination of education and experience working in a social services environment
Experience: Candidates should have experience providing direct support services to children and families

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including a vulnerable sector check, Child Abuse Registry, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Prior Contact Check

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • The candidates should possess a valid driver’s license, have access to a vehicle, and the ability to travel within Winnipeg
  • The candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to engage and establish working relationships with children and families
  • The candidates should exhibit strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • The candidates should have excellent written communication skills, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, possess excellent verbal communication skills, work within a team environment, and have the ability to work with a culturally diverse population
  • The candidates should have experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • The candidates should have knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act
  • The candidates should have Verbal communication skills and Written communication skills in French

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide assistance to the case manager in the performance of their duties
  • The candidates should be able to, under the direction of the Child and Family Services Worker and the supervisor, provide a variety of support services, directly and indirectly to families and children in care within the mandate of the Child and Family Services Act
  • The candidates should be able to provide program support to the unit
