Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Grade 12 education
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and effective as a team player
  • The candidates should be accurate in their work, with well-developed time management and organizational skills to meet established priorities

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have strong mathematical aptitude, good written and verbal communication skills (including spelling and grammar), and the ability to use computers for entering and searching inventory data
  • The candidates should have required training in table saw, radial cut-off saw, silk screening, and overhead crane operation and or a combination of education, training, and experience
  • The candidates should be able to take accurate linear measurements and complete mathematical calculations for cutting sign materials
  • The candidates should have a mechanical aptitude, knowledge of Flex-Sign, and computer skills; forklift and loader training
  • The candidates should consistently maintain a professional and courteous disposition and hold a high standard for client and customer service

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure the efficient production and distribution of signs generated by the Central Sign Shop
  • The candidates should be able to perform duties such as sign construction and assembly, hand lettering, silk screening, and shipping and receiving
  • The candidates should be able to design signs using computer software and various materials like plywood, extruded aluminum panels, utility grade aluminum, and reflective materials
  • The candidates should be able to use tools such as table saws, radial arm saws, and metal shears during production and assembly
  • The candidates should be able to prepare completed signs for shipping and load them into trucks using a forklift or by hand
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the overall cleanliness of the Sign Shop by performing light janitorial duties
