Salary: $24.19 hourly for 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Area of specialization: Salt truck, Sanding truck, Snow transportation truck, Snowplough 
Credentials: AZ class license, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks), Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles), DZ class license
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working in cold/refrigerated conditions, able to work in hot conditions, and capable of working in wet/damp conditions
• The candidates should exercise caution when working in dangerous environments, be able to work in noisy environments, and be tolerant of odors
• The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling, and be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• The candidates should have good hand-eye coordination, be willing to work overtime when required, and be physically fit for demanding tasks. They should also be comfortable sitting for extended periods and capable of working under pressure
• The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, have excellent oral communication abilities, and exhibit excellent written communication
• The candidates should demonstrate flexibility, show initiative, and be a team player

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to check, lubricate, refuel, and clean equipment, operate various vehicles and equipment, and report any malfunctions to the supervisor
