Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is known to lead the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. We also deliver specific province-wide health services and support centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualification such as entry-to-practice academic credential in Pharmacy from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent if internationally educated as determined by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba (CPhM). Having completed the Hospital Residency program is preferred.
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having previous experience in hospital pharmacy practice is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should have good physical and mental health to meet the position demands and also may be required to travel to other sites

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have demonstrated ability to effectively communicate professional information and to deal appropriately with matters of an urgent nature
  • The candidate should have license or be eligible for licensing in the Province of Manitoba
  • The candidate should have the knowledge of information systems technology and software and also having knowledge of current pharmacy computer systems and software preferred.
  • The candidate should have effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and also have effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The candidate should have skills such as flexibility and independence in planning work to meet demanding schedules and also have the ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with other individuals.
  • The candidate should be able to support the Philosophy/Mission/Goals and Objectives of the WRHA Pharmacy Program and the sites it services and is discreet.
  • The candidate should be able to provide a criminal record check

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to provide a spectrum of health care services through an integrated network of sites, services and organizations
  • The candidate should be responsible for the provision of pharmacy services to accommodate the medication and medication-related needs of hospital inpatients and outpatients. This includes pharmacotherapy monitoring, drug information and education.
