Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED
Experience: Candidates should have experience in optical lab

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to lift and move heavy boxes, up to 50 pounds
  • The candidates should have the stamina to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • The candidates should possess manual dexterity for handling and organizing inventory items

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess the knowledge and skills required, including manual dexterity, basic mathematical abilities, and the ability to read and compare numbers

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to gather and analyze optical work tickets with supplied frames from the lab
  • The candidates should be able to read working tickets and place them in trays
  • The candidates should be able to scan barcodes from working tickets and trays to link them together in the computerized production system
  • The candidates should be able to read work tickets and pull frames from numerically placed bins on shelves
  • The candidates should be able to scan barcodes from frames and trays to verify frames and reduce inventory in the lab
  • The candidates should be able to take trays with out-of-stock frames to the short order area of the stockroom
  • The candidates should be able to sort trays on a working table for lens picking by aisles
  • The candidates should be able to scan barcodes of lenses and trays to verify and reduce inventory in the lab
  • The candidates should be able to unwrap lenses and frames and send completed trays to the production line for processing
  • The candidates should be able to place orders for lenses that are out of stock and place trays in the area of the stockroom awaiting delivery
  • The candidates should be able to open boxes sent by warehouses, verify warehouse shipping reports, remove enclosed frames from optical orders, and scan barcodes from trays and work tickets to link them together
  • The candidates should be able to operate 4 tracers, verify tracers on a regular basis, and calibrate them if needed
  • The candidates should be able to scan trays and insert frames in tracers for each lens
  • The candidates should be able to verify tracing on the screen and compare the circumference for auto-edging
  • The candidates should be able to scan trays to validate tracer data and print work tickets
  • The candidates should be able to sort trays on a working table for lens picking by aisles
  • The candidates should be able to scan barcodes of lenses and trays to verify and reduce inventory in the lab
  • The candidates should be able to place orders for out-of-stock lenses
  • The candidates should be able to unwrap lenses and frames and send completed trays to the production line for processing
  • The candidates should be able to trace 10 frames of new SKUs, fill out a report to verify the constancy of data, and enter it into a standardized database
  • The candidates should be able to scan trays requiring coating, pack, and ship them to the coating center
  • The candidates should be able to count and check incoming lens and frame orders coming from vendors and depot, scan UPC codes with handheld scanning guns, and enter frames as 400
  • The candidates should be able to fill any short-order tray on incoming lenses and frames, then stock them on supply shelves by item number
  • The candidates should be able to check in the DVI system with the cabaret # where it is to be able to add the frame provided by the warehouses.
  • The candidates should be able to make requests for calculations as needed
