Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic cash register, Interac machine, Computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering system, Price scanner
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate, and flexible
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, and be able to work as a team player

- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate cash register, scan items
- The candidates should be able to process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments
- The candidates should be able to receive payment for goods or services
- The candidates should be able to calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales
- The candidates should be able to suggestive selling, greet customers, verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol or tobacco products
- The candidates should be able to stock shelves and clean counter area, provide customer service
- The candidates should be able to wrap or place merchandise in bags, weigh produce and bulk foods
