Lil Bettas Swim School based in Fort Saskatchewan, AB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Swimming instructor – recreation. Lil Bettas Swim School is a swim school specializes in providing swim lessons for children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. We offer a range of classes, including parent and tot classes, preschool classes, and school-age classes, all taught in a safe and nurturing environment. We are committed to teaching children essential swimming skills and water safety techniques that will last a lifetime. We focus on building confidence in the water, teaching proper stroke technique, and developing a love for swimming. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 3 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Casual employment Part time leading to full time
Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Morning
Transportation information: Willing to travel
Work setting: Swimming pool/centre
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Credentials: Red Cross Swimming Instructor/Life Saving Certificate, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Lifesaving Bronze Medallion, Lifesaving Bronze Cross, National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certificate, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in/on water
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate, client focus, dependable, organized, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, interpersonal awareness, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques, schedule activities, keep logs, maintain records and prepare reports
- The candidates should be able to patrolling/supervising activities
- The candidates should be able to ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- The candidates should be able to assemble supplies, sports and game equipment
- The candidates should be able to monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required
