Ontario Collision Centre based in Scarborough, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Tow truck driver. Ontario Collision Centre is a reputable auto body repair facility. We help restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition. We offer a wide range of services, including dent repairs, paint refinishing, frame straightening, and auto glass replacement. Using advanced techniques and state-of-the-art equipment, we ensure that each repair is performed with precision and attention to detail. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $25.00 hourly for 40 hours per week

Shifts: Evening, Weekend, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Remote location
Type of trucking and equipment: Tow truck

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Maintenance and repair reports
Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
Transportation/travel experience: International, Local, Long-haul, Provincial/territorial 
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Driver’s validity licence check, Drug test

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be organized, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • The candidates should be able to perform brake adjustments, perform emergency roadside repairs
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • The candidates should be able to perform preventive maintenance
  • The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch
