Salary: $20.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Nelson, BC
Shifts: 07:30 to 16:30
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Supervision: No supervision responsibility

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Vehicle and equipment experience: Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts
Computer and technology knowledge: Point of sale system
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Forklift Operator Certification

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks and work under pressure
• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, perform physically demanding tasks and maintain attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

• The candidates should be adaptable, hardworking, and able to demonstrate integrity
• The candidates should have to maintain a positive attitude, proactive, and quick learners
• The candidates should be dependable, reliable, and team players

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to build pallets, load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment, and operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products
• The candidates should be able to make labels and attach to goods, provide customer service and wrap goods
• The candidates should be able to organize and maintain inventory and handle and store hazardous products
