Salary: $18.50 to $19.50 hourly (To be negotiated) for 80 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Scarborough, ON
Shifts: 08:30 to 17:30
Transportation information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence, and Public transportation is available
Work setting: Urban area, Warehouse, Manufacture, and Retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre
Supervision: No supervision responsibility
Type of products: Industrial supplies

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Mandarin, Iranian languages, and Panjabi
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Computer and technology knowledge: Word processing software, Spreadsheet, and Electronic mail
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate attention to detail
• The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to build pallets and load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
• The candidates should be able to read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements, and operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products
• The candidates should be able to ship orders, pick orders and stock, and weigh materials and goods
• The candidates should be able to make labels, attach them to goods, wrap goods, and pack and unpack goods
• The candidates should be able to sort, crate, and stack goods, organize and maintain inventory, and organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems
