Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks efficiently
  • The candidates should possess attention to detail and demonstrate good hand-eye coordination

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a focus on clients and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility, be organized, and be team players

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications and read welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes
  • The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, as well as flame-cutting equipment and metal shaping machines
  • The candidates should be able to examine welds to ensure they meet standards and operate oxygen arc cutting equipment
  • The candidates should be able to fit, braze, torch-straighten metal, and determine the weldability of materials
  • The candidates should be able to operate hoisting and lifting equipment and start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines
  • The candidates should be able to operate previously set-up welding, brazing, and soldering machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • The candidates should be able to maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
