Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine and Soldering machine
Welding techniques: Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Flux core arc welding (FCAW), Submerged arc welding (SAW)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should handle heavy loads
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications and determine the weldability of materials
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, as well as manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- The candidates should be able to fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal, and operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), also known as AOC
- The candidates should be able to operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams
- The candidates should be able to be proficient in maintaining and performing minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
