Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Welding techniques: Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), ARC spot
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, Gas welding machine, Soldering machine
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be organized and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
- The candidates should be able to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- The candidates should be able to operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines, fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
- The candidates should be able to determine weldability of materials, operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- The candidates should be able to maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
