Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Welding techniques: Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Flux core arc welding (FCAW)
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, Structural construction, Fencing, balconies, stairs and railings, Ornamental work
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Tools, Hard hat, Safety harness, Gloves, Welding helmet
Credentials: Fall Arrest Protection Training Course, First Aid Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
- The candidates should be able to work at heights, in noisy area, outdoors, hot area, dusty area, and cold/refrigerated area
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
- The candidates should be able to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
