Type of materials: Plasma coatings, stainless steel

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, factory assembly
Welding techniques: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), plasma arc welding (PAW), welding plastic, laser

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in dusty environments and noisy environments
  • The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and possess manual dexterity, while also demonstrating attention to detail
  • The candidates should have good hand-eye coordination and be able to stand for extended periods, while also being comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate excellent oral communication abilities, while also being well-organized
  • The candidates should be team players and hardworking, while also upholding strong values and ethics

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications accurately to ensure compliance with standards and requirements, and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment proficiently
  • The candidates should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes to understand project requirements, while also examining welds to ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications for quality and integrity
  • The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment with precision and safety, and operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines effectively
  • The candidates should be able to determine the weldability of materials and select appropriate welding methods accordingly, and operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines as required, and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal functionality
  • The candidates should be able to train or arrange for training sessions to develop the skills of welding personnel, and set up machines and equipment for welding operations accurately
  • The candidates should be able to requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for welding projects, while also overseeing the safety of operations and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
  • The candidates should be able to resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity in welding operations.
