Salary: $45,000 to $55,000 annually (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment – Full time, Remote work available

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have college or CEGEP graduates.
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Specialization experience: 
Buying, Merchandise needs analysis, Market analysis, Product selection, Negotiation, Pricing, Product development
Computer and technology knowledge: Database software, Planogram software, Spreadsheet, Internet, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
Credentials: Merchandise management certificate or course and Merchandising and buying program or course
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and adept at working under tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be individuals with a keen attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be known for their accurate work and attention to detail, equipped with efficient interpersonal skills, and excellent in oral and written communication
  • The candidates should be individuals with sound judgment, highly organized in their work, and flexible in their approach to tasks
  • The candidates should be team players, collaborating effectively with others

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to arrange products according to planogram and maintain adequate stock levels
  • The candidates should be able to establish and maintain contact with suppliers, negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements
  • The candidates should be able to review requirements of the establishment, determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase, and select and purchase merchandise for resale
  • The candidates should be able to study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials, and visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events
