Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have  or previous experience in safety-related employment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly around health and safety needs at all levels of the organization
  • The candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Project, Visio, and Outlook
  • The candidates should have strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability
  • The candidates should have proven technical guidance experience for large-scale safety projects
  • The candidates should be able to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
  • The candidates should have exposure to Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing efforts, transportation, logistics, and fulfillment, distribution centers
  • The candidates should have knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910, including lockout or tag-out
  • The candidates should have a Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) certification and proven technical guidance for large-scale safety initiatives

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to coordinate and implement all aspects of Amazon’s Global Safety Program
  • The candidates should be able to identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through conducting daily, weekly, and monthly audits and facilitate incident investigation processes
  • The candidates should be able to maintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and OSHA regulations
  • The candidates should be able to conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed Job Hazard Analysis
  • The candidates should be able to record safety incident information in internal databases in a timely manner
  • The candidates should be able to innovate on process improvements and manage actions to completion
  • The candidates should be able to train and assist team members Area Managers, Associates, Safety Team Members to complete safety tasks audits, following safety rules
  • The candidates should be able to perform specific safety training as required by the Safety Manager
  • The candidates should be able to provide additional oversight for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, and other safety-related activities
  • The candidates should be able to recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics
