Salary: $18.00 to $24.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 28 to 32 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Gatineau, QC
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Flexible Hours
Transportation information: Own transportation, Own vehicle and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Children’s services facility, Community centre and Community service organization
Target Audience: Adolescents, Children, Families and Persons with learning disabilities
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates should have College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Driver’s validity licence check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a background in child welfare, education, or relevant training and be knowledgeable in personal and social adjustment and health issues, including substance abuse, gambling, and behavior disorders
- The candidates should have experience in early intervention programming for at-risk youth and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in addressing complex issues related to child welfare and social adjustment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong focus on client satisfaction and possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues, demonstrating excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility in adapting to changing client needs and work demands, show initiative in addressing challenges and suggesting improvements, and exercise good judgment in decision-making
- The candidates should be team players, fostering a collaborative work environment, demonstrate interpersonal awareness in understanding and responding to others, and be dependable and reliable in meeting job expectations
- The candidates should uphold values and ethics in their professional conduct, be organized in managing tasks and responsibilities, and bring creativity to their work, offering innovative solutions and ideas
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to implement life skills workshops and assess clients’ relevant skill strengths and development needs
- The candidates should be able to conduct follow-up assessments and resolve conflict situations
