Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials:Â Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be punctual, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and be a team player
- The candidate should demonstrate values and ethics and exhibit creativity
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assess the children’s development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs and assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties and bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children and maintain daycare equipment and perform storytelling
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity and engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts and prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisors and discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children and supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
